Financial Executives International (FEI), the association of choice for CFOs and other senior-level financial executives, will host the 2015 Summit Leadership Conference on May 17-19at the Boca Raton Resort and Club in Boca Raton, FL. This annual Summit will provide its more than 500 financial executive attendees with an innovative agenda comprised of content-rich presentations delivered by nationally-recognized speakers, including tracks designed for public and private company executives, vast  networking opportunities, and leadership development. Summit will feature these keynote speakers:

  • Stephen M. R. Covey, President and CEO, Covey Leadership Center
  • Cynthia M. Fornelli, Executive Director, Center for Audit Quality (CAQ)

  • Weston Smith, Former CFO and ‘Whistleblower’, HealthSouth

Sessions at the 2015 Summit will also feature a faculty of more than 40 thought leaders from a wide range of top organizations including Dr. Ajit Kambil, Global Research Director, CFO Academy at Deloitte; Chris Wright, Managing Director, Protiviti; Thomas M. Berger, VP, Finance & Administration and CFO, Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts of Miami-Dade County; Mahesh Shetty, COO & CFO,  Encore Enterprises Inc.; and Sharon Virag, Vice President, Controller & CAO, AES Corporation.

The Summit's program features key perspectives and guidance on current challenges such as cybersecurity, global growth, M&A, Health Care Reform Act, strategy, data analytics, accounting and tax reform for private companies, as well as SEC hot topics and FASB updates for public companies. The General sessions at this year’s Summit include:

  • View from the C-Suite: At this roundtable, industry leaders will discuss top-down perspectives on steering their teams through today’s challenging domestic and global economic environments.
  • The Healthsouth Fraud- When Gain is Loss and Loss is Gain: At this session,the founding CFO and the CFO who exposed this historic corporate fraud will present their fascinating insiders’ perspectives of HealthSouth’s meteoric rise and ethics failure—and share their hard-earned lessons.
  • Building Trust in Financial Reporting: This session will detail the initiatives undertaken by the Center for Audit Quality to develop indicators of audit quality, measure the feasibility of suggested changes to the auditor’s reporting model, and improve financial disclosures.
  • The Rising Tide of Finance Challenges: This session will impart the results of Financial Executives Research Foundation and Protiviti’s 2015 Finance Priorities Survey.
  • The Evolving Role of the Corporate Board: This interactive panel session will cover key issues challenging Corporate Boards today.

The 2015 Summit Leadership Conference will kick off on Sunday, May 17 with Leadership Day, including an Annual Business Meeting of FEI members. The Summit will also offer attendees several networking events, including a golf outing, a welcome reception and evening networking exhibit hall reception on Monday, May 18.
